FAQ

Q:  How do you fish and where?

A:  We depart from our marina located in North Vancouver to many popular fishing spots such as, Georgia Straight, English Bay, Horseshoe Bay and many others.  Trolling with downrigger is the most often used method of fishing.

Q:  Do you have washrooms onboard?
A:  Both boats are equipped with heated cabins and washrooms.

Q:  Do you provide raingear?

A  Yes, we provide gMustangh water resistant life preservers and rain pants but sizes are limited to S, M, and L.

Q:  Can we take our fish home?

A:  Yes you can. You are allowed to keep your catch provided that it meets the size and species regulations.  We have fish boxes and icepacks available to take your fish home.  Most hotels will hold your catch in their freezer until you depart.

Q:  What should I wear?

A:  The open sea has unpredictable weather so it's always good to be prepared for foul weather.  For sunny days it is a good idea to bring a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen.

Q:  How many people can come onboard.

A:  Each boat can carry a maximum of 6 people.

Q:  How long does it take to reach the fishing spot?
A:  It takes between 10-45 minutes depending on which spot we go to.  The actual fishing time depends on how long the travel time is.

Q:  Are the waves calm?

A:  Most fishing spots are surrounded by islands so the seas are usually quite calm.  If you are worried about getting sea sick, it may be a good idea to bring seasick pills.

Q:  Can we bring food and beverages?
A:  Yes you should bring your own food and beverages (alcohol is allowed). We can also provide lunches at your request.
